Inspiración en una servilleta


El otro día tenía una servilleta sobre mi escritorio (probablemente usada) y empecé a usar unos marcadores para dibujar. El papel de este tipo absorbe mucho, y así quedó un efecto acuarela. Una vez aprendí que no hay que tirar ningún boceto. Algo que no sirve hoy, puede ser justo lo que te falta mañana.
Les comparto un poco el proceso de boceto sobre servilleta a estampa aplicada:

The other day I took a napkin that was over my worktable (most probably used) and started drawing a bunch of flowers with my markers. As you know this kind of paper absorbs a lot of ink, so the result was a watercolor texture. 
I scanned it, change the colors in Photoshop and created the pattern that I show you here. I have learnt to never throw away what you've created. What you don't need today, is maybe the exact thing you need tomorrow.



La estampa conserva la textura de la servilleta. Me gustó la idea de ponerle un nombre femenino: Siena. Creo que queda bien para indumentaria, pero les propongo también algo para el hogar:

The print still has the texture from the napkin. I liked the idea of naming it after a feminine name: Siena. I think this print works very well for fashion, but I have also other proposals:

    En una servilleta dibujé mi vestido de novia, escribí muchas cartas de amor, y recuerdo otras historias más que ahí quedarán...
